Immersed in the diverse landscapes of Australia, my art is a celebration of the natural world. Working both en plein air and in my studio, I strive to capture the unique colours, light, and ecology of each location.
After a lifelong career in graphic design, I found myself drawn away from digital media back to tactile, expressive fine-art painting and drawing .
My approach blends impressionist and fauvist influences, using acrylics, oil pastels and mixed media to evoke the emotional resonance of a place rather than just a literal representation. Colour is integral to capture the fleeting interplay of light and shadow, foliage, trees or birdlife. I use my own signature motifs with layered brushy marks and let paint lead the way.
Through my work, I hope to share the sense of wonder I feel when immersed in the wild beauty of Australia... it is alive, dynamic and deeply restorative. This online collection is an invitation to reflect on beauty of the Australian landscape and bring that tranquility into your home.
Jacqueline exhibits her work across Melbourne galleries and regional art shows. She was part of Dandenong Ranges Open studios over the
last two decades before moving to the Bass coast.
