About THE ARTIST
My artwork is a direct response to my visits to these stunning natural environments of Australia—places that make me feel alive, refreshed and inspired. This collection of landscape paintings serves as an invitation to reflect on the breathtaking beauty of Australia, bringing that dynamic colour and tranquility into your home.
Working both en plein air and in my studio, I strive to capture the
ever-changing seasons of colours, light and the ecology of these regions.
My fine art style blends impressionist marks with bold fauvist use of colour, capturing interplay of light and shadow on foliage and trees and sky filled vistas. These are my interpretations of being in a specific place rather than just literal representations. I combine repeated motifs and brush marks, enjoying intuitive studio processes where experimenting with paint mediums and techniques tends guide my creativity.
Jacqueline exhibits her art across Melbourne galleries and regional art shows. She was part of the Dandenong Ranges Open Studios over the last two decades before relocating to the Bass Coast.
