About THE ARTIST
An early art education led Jacqui to a creative career in graphic design which after 40 years has come full circle back into an art studio practice.
She currently exhibits work across Melbourne galleries and local and regional art shows. She was part of artist open studios in the Dandenong Ranges over the last two decades before moving to the Bass coast.
Jacqui combines drawing and painting to create art shaped by travels and field studies in the bush. Rooted in observation yet guided by response, each work carries the memory of immersion in nature.
This collection is an invitation into the shifting poetry of the Australian landscape — its coastal light, quiet wetlands, wind-shaped dunes, and the deep seasonal character of forest and river country. Through expressive brushwork and a vivid, resonant palette, the paintings move beyond description to evoke the atmosphere and feeling of place.
