About THE ARTIST
Immersed in the diverse landscapes of Australia, my art is a celebration of the natural world. After a lifelong career in graphic design, I found myself drawn away from the digital realm and back to the tactile, expressive qualities of fine-art painting and drawing.
Working both en plein air and in my studio, I strive to capture the unique colours, light, and ecology of each location.
My approach blends impressionist and fauvist influences, using acrylics, oil pastels and mixed media to evoke the emotional resonance of a place rather than just a literal representation. Colour is integral to capture the fleeting interplay of light and shadow, foliage, trees or birdlife appear through her signature motifs and layered brushy marks.
Through my work, I hope to share the sense of wonder I feel when immersed in the wild beauty of Australia... it is alive, dynamic and deeply restorative. This online collection is an invitation to reflect on beauty of the Australian landscape and bring that tranquility onto your home.
Jacqui exhibits her work across Melbourne galleries and regional art shows. She was part of Dandenong Ranges Open studios over the
last two decades before moving to the Bass coast.
